08 Aug God Bless The Lion City
Happy 51st Birthday, Singapore!
God has blessed Singapore! For many years, Singapore has been punching above its weight on the world stage and many international leaders have given Singapore high accolades. Our leaders have led well and we are grateful to God for the exceptional men and women in our government. Over the years, Singapore has become one of the world’s greatest success stories and societies. We must continue to trust the Lord to keep Singapore abiding under the shadow of the Almighty.
“Seek the peace and prosperity of the city…Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” – Jeremiah 29:7
Let’s take a min to pray together for peace and prosperity of Singapore.
Dear Almighty Father,
Thank you for blessing Singapore. We pray that You will keep our President Tony Tan, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and our ministers to be close to you. Give them divine vision for the nation and courage to stay true to the essence of their office. Bless their marriages and strengthen their families. Let Singapore continue to rise! Let Singapore not be afraid of the terror by night nor the arrow that flies by day. Bless our leaders.
Father, we also pray for the growing of unity for churches in Singapore. We thank you for a unprecedented show of unity last year when we gather at the Singapore Sports Hub on July 5, 2015 for the Jubilee Day of Prayer. Thank You for using National Council of Churches in Singapore, Evangelical Fellowship of Singapore, the Singapore Baptist Convention, the Indian Christian Network, the Festival of Praise Fellowship, the LoveSingapore church network and the National Prayer Alliance. We pray that You will enable us to rely on the Holy Spirit to strengthen the unity of churches here, to break down walls and to bring about a deep healing in our hearts. Bless our churches.
Lastly, we pray for Singapore to be a city of righteousness and refuge. You said that righteousness lifts up a nation while sins will bring it to her knees. You also said that the effects of the prayers of a righteous man are very powerful. So we ask you humbly to raise and protect many righteous men and women in Singapore. Help us to act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with before You, God.
Thank You for Your love,
In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
Bless Singapore. Majulah Singapore.
Blessings,
